When I had to estimate the price for a 300 ft long mural I was asked
to do I counted on Barbara Harmon suggestions (who has replied to this
thread) and I also consulted with Karen Carr http://
www.karencarr.com/. She specializes in digital murals and was really
helpful. I was budgeting in hardware and the project was in Portugal
so my numbers likely don't apply to you.

The project I was going to do ended up being reduced to several
separate illustrations instead of a mural due to time and budget
limitations. 300 ft long was nonetheless really ambitious, probably
too ambitious..
