I have an older IISP scanner. When the newest version of Scan Wizard came
out, I downloaded it and installed it. Crashed every time. Finally got
through to Microtek (there was a while I could not reach them when it was
rumored they were going under), and it turns out I need to use the next to
last version, which of course cannot be downloaded off the web. Nor was the
appropriate information posted anywhere. It had to be special ordered. More
down time. Now it is working OK.
I am running 7.5 as well, so it has nothing to do with system 8.0.
I must say though, that Microtek gave me excellent instructions for taking
apart my scanner and cleaning out the dust bunnies. Their instructions were
great, and my scanner has been cleaned from the inside out.
