By the way, Kremer pigments (in both New York City and through their home base in Germany), and Guerra Paints and Pigments (in NYC and soon Brooklyn) have vast catalogs of classical pigments, pigment dispersions, and classical materials available through both their online sites and brick & mortar shops in NYC. I use Guerra for pigment dispersions in my handmade acrylic paint preparations and Kremer for hard-to-get dry pigments’ like YImMn Blue. (Kremer actually even sells stuff like Realgar, Orpiment, and Cinnabar, if you would ever consider using such toxic materials. Some Conservators undoubtedly might have such a need. Both firms have Material Safety Data Sheets available for their respective products). An both firms are easily found by doing a Google search.

Cheers,
Mike Rothman

>>> Wow. Yes, this looks amazing! I have seen online stores coming out of either China or Japan that sell pigments in powder form in bottles like this. I'm curious to know more about them, like their intended use and how comparable the paint is with professional-grade watercolor or gouache. If anyone uses pigments to make their paint, I would love to hear how you do it.
