Yes, my understanding from a friend in the real estate and constuction
business is that a great deal of the stuff in contracts is of the CYA
variety - the company has enough money that they might be a viable target
for a lawsuit, so a lawyer added every conceivable possibility in the
galaxy to everything they ever sign, sort of a medicine man warding off
hexes.
