Interesting that after a year this is the 1st discussion I've felt like
jumping into...

Here in the Santa Cruz mountains of California we've been (you may have
noticed) having a bit of a disaster; & as always in big storms here have
spent some time w/out power. It was quite pleasant, when the power came
back after 2 days, to read my list mail... Today I'm catching up, & 2
screens of messages seems not at all excessive.

In fact, the banter-info blend is exactly what I like about the list.
Working at home in isolation (especially in winter storms) I sure
appreciate some comradery!
