Well, the show goes on.
But the NYSMuseum, like just about everything in the State has been financially frozen. This means that our publications activities have all but stopped and there is a good chance that Focus on Nature VII may not have a catalogue. However, if I can make it seem important enough it might squeak through. So I have been directed to write a justification as to why this exhibit should have a catalogue and what the exhibit means to artists, scientists, and the general public.
I actually think this will effect funding for future Focus on Nature exhibits and so I'm asking for your help!
It would be a GREAT help if any of you have time, to write a couple of sentences about why catalogs for an exhibits such as FON are useful and any other kudos you want to add. I will attached these to my justification.
To my knowledge there isn't anything quite like FON on a regular basis. The only comparable show is the GNSI exhibit which has spectacular entries but usually much more limited time and audience parameters. We have received slides or electronic images from 75 artists, from 10 countries. Seems to me that says a lot about the usefulness of it!
But how much better if it could be shared with all of you who cannot make it to Albany.
Many, many thanks to all,
