Hey Emily,
Thanks for the review. I hope to finally get back to it this weekend so I
can iron out the last details. There's no voodoo here. It uses a Javascript
(not Java) command that is quite common and are built into all of the more
recent web building software packages (I authored using Dreamweaver). The
command is SwapImage. SwapImage is what folks use to make buttons light up
etc. However there's no limit to what parts of the page you can opt to swap.
There is a javascript command out there (search for freeware sites where
you can cut and paste the script into your doc) that allows you to disable
the right-click functions that leads to casual theft. But the truth is that
anyone can grab a screen capture and crop down to your image if they were
so inspired.
I also add a light watermark to most of my images there. I am curious to
how people feel about these. I used to be annoyed when I came across a
portfolio that used them. But once I was positioned to put the work up, I
felt I had to do what I could.
