Hello All:
Ok, here's a question that's just the opposite of the high-tech,
mega-speed, and bells-and-whistle printer questions that are sometimes
the interest of our listserv. But what about a SIMPLE printer. One that
a non-computer-oriented person can operate? I'm replacing an HP
deskjet895C, which is 4 yrs old. It's not for my type of office work,
but the home computer, but I'd like it to be a reliable one. Many
printers have so many features for photosmart, bluetooth, and high
speed, that I think the simpler the better. Some I've investigated use
6 ink cartridges, too. I think that the new cartridges have the nozzle
replacements in them as well, which is a good idea, but that's a load
of money to replace all of them.
I know sometimes the cheaper the printer, the more expensive the ink
replacement. Been there - done that. But surely there is some way to
compromise. My mind is a blur with all the tech sheets.
It will operate a Mac OS 10, USB connection, color inkjet is fine.
Do they even make them simple any more? Any advice?
Very much appreciated.
Linda
