Nope. Or at least not exclusively a Chinese invention. The Italians
had pasta from well before Marco Polo's travels, although it is
sometimes said he brought the idea of pasta back from China. You can
find mentions and recipes in Italy for pasta before Marco Polo, if you
are curious abut the proof.
