Like many others, I'm deeply saddened to learn of our loss. While living
in Grimfells I got to spend many, many hours with Pavel both at events,
with him and in his home. I was blessed with trying many of his
excellent dishes he would prepare for various occasions. One Sunday he
baked an exceptional venison roast which was caked in a sort of clay
made from cinnamon. I've been in arm's reach many times and felt a broad
outpouring of Grimfells love. I am proud to have known him and to have
propped up his floor during crucial moments. I'm fairly certain mine
were the only pants he had ever had torn off and burned, but knowing
Pavel I can't be totally certain of that. (Though technically they were
pink overalls with a repeating pattern of little nestling piglets on
them.) I haven't been in touch with Pavel for several years but this
does hit hard. My deepest condolences to all who loved him.
