Some of the conference attendees were out scavenging the rocky "bar" at
low tide Thursday evening during the conference, and came across
beautiful gold and lavender eggs attached to rocks like large grains of
rice. Some thought they could be squid eggs, perhaps even octopus--but
my search indicates they are dogwhelk eggs. this web site has great
pictures of barnacles and if you keep scrolling you will see pictures of
dogwhelks and their eggs.
