The easiest, least controversial, accurate, and most respectful terms I
find are "armored" and "unarmored", and they have the added benefit as His
Excellency points out of being the official recognized terms.
Any other term I have seen used lends itself too easily to unintentional
offense -- and intentional d**che baggery. See this thread so far for text
book examples of both.
