Several people asked me, off list, why I used the term "quondam peer"
about myself. "Quondam" means "former". I've been asked if I resigned,
or was removed as a Peer. To quote from an email reply I just sent....

I consider Peerage a job title, not a seat cushion. :-)

For the last many years, I've been largely inactive from the SCA. I
just don't get to events. One good reason after another, but still...

I don't think I'm doing my job. If I had the opportunity, I'd do it and
people would be happy to let me.
