It seems to me lots of people I know have lost/changed jobs recently.  
This greatly interferes with the ability of that person or even a couple 
or family to go to a week long event.  I don't know of an answer for this.
I would point out that the displays at 50 year were amazing. Perhaps we 
could do some things like that, or even invite some of our guest 
kingdoms to show some displays of their artifacts and stuff.  I don't 
know who or how to organize something like should be organized, but the 
Idea was a good one.  Perhaps ask a different kingdom to do something 
each year-get them more involved.

On the note of general recruiting, we need to think of other "LARPS" as 
competition but possible sources of new members.  We have become a high 
end game where the "stuff" has gotten fairly expensive.  Young people 
cannot always afford this expense.  Not so much in site fees but in 
general overall playing (or even "kit" costs).
