Hi Sally and all -
What a great resource! Beautiful Web site too. The activities you've collected/produced so far are great. I've got one I did several times that I will write up for you. It involves each kid sprouting a bean seed and takes several weeks to complete, with short drawing and writing sessions once or twice a week - observations being the key. I'll have to think about how to make it accessible, but it could be done in each kid's home. I did another with mollusk shells that was similar to your leaf activity, but a bit simplified as it was for 1st graders.
I've done numerous science/art activities in public school classrooms (K-5) and I doubt kids in that age bracket could do the Reverse Pictionary, but I think its wonderful for older kids. I think the younger kids are just too unfiltered and would not be able to restrain themselves from spouting out easier descriptive words.
