I've used Sculpey (super sculpey) for modeling purposes and am aware that many dollmakers use it, too. I have heard from lots of them that if the piece is cured properly, according to directions, it will last for ages and ages. (Can't define ages, though!) After it is baked, it can be painted, sanded, added to and baked again. It's really fun stuff. I've recently used it to make a Monterey flatworm that looks great and a formenifera shaped like a vase with beads on it. I took artistic liberty to make that purple! Hope this helps.
