Hey again. I'm having a laid back Sunday afternoon and feel chatty
today, so will throw my two cents in this pot, too.
I am also am not that enthralled with the slick look of a lot of the
computer art, and I think an artist should always be able to work in the
media most comfortable for one. But it shouldn't mean having to choose
between traditional and computer. I like to remember that *however
powerful and almighty* is the computer, it is just another tool and
medium, and rather than have it dictate to me what can be done, I've
lately been exploring ways to use it to achieve the look that I want,
which is very traditional. While I use a combination of described
techniques, I haven't seen them described the way I use them (does that
make sense?). I'm finally getting the hang of it, and people who have
seen my latest stuff can't believe it was done on computer.
I'm sure that many of us who use the computer have come up with some
nice little tricks - so what about a chapter sort of like a "Hints from
Heloise", only on computer hints compiled from guild members? For that
matter, what about a mishmash chapter on favorite tricks in general?
Yikes! speaking of pots, I small one burning........
Bye for now -
