Re: Duralene. Altho I have heard of it, I don't remember trying it. Will
attempt to get some. Your best bet is to buy a sheet and try it yourself
with various types of pencils, using line and dust, scratching, ink with
dip pens and technical pens, again scratching, erasing, and inking over
Plastic pencils: try getting them (or leads) under the name "film
pencils." Film pencils are made from plastic. Their gradations are E, N,
or H, among other designations, instead of the usual graphite H and HB, and
they might range from E-0 (softest) to E-6 (hardest), for instance - such
as Eagle Turquoise Filmograph E-0 to E-6, or N-1 to whatever.
These pencil variations are described in the Guild Handbook, pp.
23-24 and elsewhere.
