Specifically, have any of you had experience with computer techniques other
than standard drawing (scanning and rendering) affecting the field of
botany? Perhaps in measuring or obtaining an accurate preliminary drawing?
Same question applies to other subject matter fields.
I know that with insects there are ways to digitally transfer measurements
to a computer screen from the specimen under the microscope and such
methods would apply to virtually any microscopic specimen. Are these
methods used by any of you as artists? Should these be described in the
subject matter chapters?
Some of my authors are not up on these techniques; so if you can provide
guidance, they would appreciate it. One way or another, we will track down
