Also, a fairly simple, dummy-proof camera would be the Nikon N50, which
you can also purchase used. With the same 105mm Micro Nikkor lens, it
will be fully automatic with auto-focus. At the same time, with relative
ease, you can disable the automatic functions and use it in manual mode.
I think it would be much easier to use than your Canon EOS.
