Hello Folks,

I just had my web page put online. It is literally just a page, actually
two if you count the form I have for prospective clients. Any comments on
the page or the form would be helpful. My friends at <www.FiveStones.com>
host the page for me and worked very closely with me in design and layout
(they also did all the technical stuff). They have a great starter web kit.

I guess I'll take this opportunity to formally introduce myself to you.
I've been working as a Naturalist at the Irvine Natural Science Center for
the last ten years. I've been doing illustrations and exhibit design and
construction for most of my professional career (in addition to the
teaching). About 18 months ago, an artist visited the nature center and
asked me if I was a member of the Guild. I had never heard of the Guild. So
I joined and have been attending the meetings in DC ever since. It is
because of the Guild, the nice people I've met, and the things I've learned
from them (including this list), that I've been able to launch a part-time
illustration business that continues to grow. I'm now working part-time as
a Naturalist and part-time for myself. I hope to go full-time freelance in
another year or so. So there you have it!
