Nicholson's On-line Art Survey is back on the air!

Kat and All,

The Nicholson Survey site is running temporarily in my office on an older
Mac.  The Mac also hosts a separate web server.  So when things are messed
with, The FileMaker Program gets turned off (not enough RAM on the
machine).  I will try to make a habit of making sure it is up and running.
I hope all of you will make a habit of donating information about your
latest freelance job, so that the site will be a useful one.  I did
receive
a few useful comment for improvements to the data collected.  I have not
had time to implement those. Maybe over the holiday season.  One item that
will not happen any time soon is the ability to up load a small sample of
the art from a freelance job.  This would be real nice for helping people
judge the price/effort ratio, but it has a down side as well.  First, I
don't know how to get an image uploaded through the web to the database,
and from what I've read it would not be easy to arraign. Second, it would
destroy the anonymity factor. Third it would inhibit spontaneous decisions
to contribute a job record.

But please, do add your information anonymously to both the Salaried and
Freelance database,  it could be a great resource, if people will
participate.

As usual, I am interested in useability feedback from all.
