My studio has been offered a job to illustrate 50 3D molecular models in a
short time (due in January).
We are interested in doing it, but we need to get our paws on some kind of
molecular modeling software, shareware, or anything that would set up the
basic 3D models for us in good time. In the past, we have calculated all
the molecular geometry ourselves, and I'm certain that by now there is a
program that can do this for us.
I know the topic of molecular modeling arises on this list from time to
time, and would like to speak with someone who has info on shortcuts.
After the 3D model is developed, we further refine the model, take it into
special 3D rendering program (Renderman by Pixar) and save them out as
for publication in a college chemistry text.
Need info soon!
