>Hello: > >I am a little confused on how to use the eyedropper tool in the >levels box to help in tonal adjustments in a black and white line >drawing. I had read a suggestion in an earlier list message to use >the white dropper to selct white areas. I am practicing with a >black and white line drawing. Also can you run an unsharp mask >filter twice, is it ever useful and how do you do it? > >Sincerely, Carolyn Withrow > Select the white eye dropper icon in the dialog, then click on the darkest part of the image that you want to be white. You can do the same adjustments in the Curves dialog (and more). Sometimes running the un-sharp filter twice with different settings can be useful. I am not sure how useful on a B&W drawing. You can see a quick view of the idea on this page: http://www.science-art.com/support/UnsharpMaskB.jpg -- _______________________________________ Britt Griswold/WMAP Project Infonetic/Maslow Media Group NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center Code 685 Bldg. 21 Rm 063 Greenbelt, MD 20771-0001 (301) 286-3381 (301) 286-1617 FAX (301) 286-7230 FAX [log in to unmask] http://map.gsfc.nasa.gov
