This afternoon, I attended a Town Hall meeting with our Congressman, John Hall. We're lucky- as a former musician with copyrights of his own, he's sympathetic- I spent an enjoyable 20 minutes or so walking one of his aides through some of the catastrophic changes that will occur to copyright law if this passes, and the aide seemed surprised, and interested in gettting more information, which I'm glad to send him. If any of your Reps or Senators are in town having Town Hall meetings, go see them, and be ready with a short explanation of the problem. If it's too long of a wait to speak directly with your rep, I've found Congressional aides are there to help, and you can have a little more of their time, and it will move up the chain. It certainly will help if we are proactive, and plant the seeds of resistance before the ball gets rolling again. Some of the freshman won't even have opinions about it yet, and why not give them yours first? When is spring coming? Rick
