The Great Plains Chapter of GNSI, was chosen to paint a rain barrel for the Friends of Pioneers Park Nature Center and the City of Lincoln Watershed Management Division Artistic Rain Barrel program. 70 proposals were submitted and we were one of 25 accepted.

Scenes from the Platte River environment adorn the barrel. Our barrel will be on display at the Loren Corey Eiseley Branch Library,  from  March 6 – April 10. From April 11-18 it will be on display at Pioneer's Park Nature Center.  

On April 18 they will be auctioned off at the Nature's Market at Pioneers Park Nature Center.  If you can attend the auction, come and see it and buy one. The funds they are generating from the auction will go to provide scholarships to kids for nature classes.
