Thank you so much to the people who helped today and
yesterday with making the sausages for the Cattle Raids feast! It was a
long process, but we had fun doing it, and you’ll have the appreciation
of everybody who eats feast (as well as my most sincere gratitude).
Thanks to Carlos, Isabeau, Zino, Isadora, Natalya, and Sara
Sophia for their mixing, stuffing, twisting, etc. And a huge thanks to
Sashatec for not only hosting the stuffing extravaganza, but for manning the
Kitchen Aid for 2 days running!
The next precook will be the weekend before Cattle Raids.
I don’t know yet whether it will be Saturday, Aug. 15 or Sunday
Aug. 16. If you’re interested in helping, please let me know
your availability that weekend. If more people can help on one day vs.
the other, that will help determine which day we’ll do it. I also
don’t have the site set yet. It will most likely be either my house
or St. Mark’s on the Campus. I’ll let people know when it’s
firmed up.
That precook will be making pretzels (Angus the Knotty from
Lonely Tower will be joining since we’ll be tying lots of knots) and
cutting up roasted chickens. A good time should be had by all. J
