I have a question to pass on from a really good friend, who is trying to finish up a critical publication.
If anyone has the time to respond, or lead us to some other source of answers, I would really, really appreciate it.
I don't use CS4 and don't have a clue.
I think question 3 is the most critical.
Thank you in advance, many times over.
Linda
Hi there. Are you using Photoshop CS4? I think maybe not, if I recall our conversation. I'm having a lot of trouble with it, and I'm wondering if I have a flawed version. Are you on a listserve with lots of people who know lots about Photoshop? 1) For some reason, I can't change the line tool in my Photoshop CS4 from an arrow to a simple line. I keep changing it under the Line tool, and it changes back to some default arrow with certain parameters, and no matter what i do, every time I open the line tool, there's my arrow. I can change it but I can't save it in the form I want (a simple line). 2) Do you know how to add color to lines made by either the line or pen tool? I would have thought that was the easiest thing, but I can't figure out how to do it. I've gone to the online Help, and it's interesting how many questions it doesn't answer. 3) When I work on certain images and go to save them at the end of my work, I get the message "Could not save 'x.jpg' because the file is already in use or was left open." This particular one is driving me crazy, as now I have to save the file to an alternative name after I've worked on it! This only happens with 10 or 20% of the images, and so far I can't figure out what makes them different! I know these are hard questions, but I'm wondering if you or anyone else has any insights. Dennis
