OK Drx, campsite or park or hall we'll need to pay for it.  Where do I send money, because you'll need it ASAP.

While clearly, much depends on the venue, here are some of our thoughts.

If we are at a camping venue, we will not encourage too much camping Friday night.  As we know how far it is Grimfells to everywhere, we know how far it is from everywhere to Grimfells.  The Residents of Grimfells will throw open their doors to welcome travelers from all corners of the Kingdom and the Knowne Worlde.  Festivities on site might start slowly around noon.  The festivities are expected to include fighting, including melee fighting, dancing (with live music if all possible) and archery.  We are open to expanding this list following what suggestions you might make, and we can organize, in five days' time.  We hope to have a Pavel Style Steak Thing for dinner (You bring a piece of meat, we cook it for you.  Side dishes are shared.  When the venue is selected, we will provide information on the location of supermarkets.) .  As day drifts into night, the singing and drinking and storytelling, which will have been ongoing throughout the day will intensify.  Eggrolls are likely to occur as late night food.  Triple bonus points to anyone who brings a person who has not heard the Brocolli Joke, particularly if they are under 150 pounds....

The shire members will have pitched many of their largest tents, which will be operated dormitory/flophouse style.  You would only need to bring your bedding.

Master Pavel was militant against drunk driving.  This is a day to honor his memory.  To attempt to drive back to crash space drunk would be considered a dishonor to his memory.  To that end, Grimfells members, and others who are willing, will run drunk shuttles to Fayetteville crash space locations for those who truly need to sleep in a more controlled environment.  Details will follow.

If we are not able to obtain a suitable camping based event site, we would hold the daylight activities in a City Park, which would unfortunately preclude drinking and archery.  After the steak thing we would retire to some rented hall for the night-time activities.  Again, the drunk shuttles will be coordinated.

Now a note beyond mere logistics:  We all know that Master Pavel was a man of strongly held opinions.  Many of us, myself included, have had vociferous, or quiet, disagreements with him through the years.  Eventually, given time and proximity, he would manage to make up, or at least come to an understanding that would allow him to welcome his former opponents back into his circle of friends.  Due to his diminished health and activity of late, many have been robbed of the opportunity.  He often maintained that seven years was the statute of limitations on almost any grudge.  It is hereby decreed that seven years has passed.  If you had had a falling out with Pavel, let it be forgotten.  Come to Grimfells and celebrate the joy of the Kingdom he loved so much.  Upon his Baronial Coronet is inscribed in Russian, "Soon, my comrade, we shall stand side by side."  Let that day be Saturday.
