Good afternoon,

I am so pleased to share a call for papers for a conference happening in Donegal in January.  The theme of the conference is Transatlantic Connections. Papers are welcome in the areas of history, film studies, surf culture, food culture, and literature.  The literary panel, which I will be moderating, is open to both creative and critical work.  I would like to propose a panel on the theme of Transatlantic Connections in Cather's work.

Conference will also include a presentation by Liam O’Cuinneagáin, founder and director of Oideas Gael, on the Irish Language. Musical performances by Moya Brennan of Clannad, Johnny Gallagher and The Henry Girls, Performances by Maura Logue’s “Dark Daughter” Company, and The Yeats Society, Sligo. 
There will be a final Irish banquet and concert on Friday 17th January, with awards for the best presentations in each of the five disciplines.
