Hi Will:
I think the way I'm headed is to finish designing my new web page (!) and have a blog/newsletter. For me, this will be specifically for teaching and instruction and sharing methods of painting and drawing, anatomy. Working Drawings and thumbnails. Then I can post a link or directions to the blog on FB. I know of other nature artists and photographers who do this, and it works. I also get direct links to their blogs/newsletters because I'm on their direct lists too.  Some duplication, but it's no big.

Then there are other artists who derive a lot of press from FB by directly posting their images. Maybe when FB uses one of their famous images in advertisement, there will be some discussion.

I hope others share their thoughts.
Best,
Linda

Hi All:
I wondered if the new Terms of Service by Facebook, that went into effect on Sep 5th, have any consequences for artists. I received a link from a photographer's organization, and just wondered if anyone on the listserv has given this any analysis.

I know quite a few nature artists who regularly post on Facebook, and have a huge following, and a lot of sales. But I just wonder about the safety of the images, etc. Who has time to go to law school to comprehend all this...
Just wondering.

Cheers,
Linda
