Major/Essential Functions Texas Tech University's English Department invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professorship in Film & Media Studies. One-year appointment with the possibility of renewal. PhD or ABD in English, Cinema Studies, or related field required. Specialization within film & media studies is open. Teaching load is 3/3 with summer employment possible. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate FMS courses in the English Department's curriculum and support the Interdisciplinary Minor in Film & Media Studies. Candidates who have very strong records of scholarship supported by extramural funding and who have the proven capacity or clear potential to bring externally sponsored research to Texas Tech University are encouraged to apply. Service duties include program-building, as well as commitment to extra-curricular activities. Service to the department, college, university, and community is expected.
