Dear Friends:

For a number of years, the Graduate Education Committee (GEC) has hosted a reception on the Friday (5:00-6:30 pm) during which prospective graduate students could meet Directors of Graduate Study from departments with graduate programs during the AMS. 

Since Attendance numbers have declined recently, we would like to know whether prospective students and departmental representatives would like to keep the GEC reception or whether they prefer to meet individually or at departmental receptions, where they may be able to talk with more faculty as well as current graduate students and alumni/ae.

To aid us in determining whether to hold our reception as in the past or to move in other directions, we have created a quick poll for prospective graduate students and for Directors of Graduate Studies, Graduate Admission Chairs, and Department Chairs.  The poll will take two minutes to complete.
