Offerings include a panel discussion led by noted musicologist Dr. Matthew Werley (Oxford) on the burgeoning relationship between Zweig and Strauss in the politically volatile environment of mid-1930s Europe; a performance of selections from Strauss’s opera by Fredonia School of Music faculty and students; an exhibit featuring select correspondence between Zweig and Strauss from Fredonia’s prized Stefan Zweig Collection <http://fredonia.libguides.com/archives/zweig>; and the 4th Biennial Stefan Zweig Lecture given by award-winning Zweig biographer George Prochnik.
