Colleagues,

Just having returned from the International Congress of Entomology, my mind is, of course, dwelling on all things entomological. What I'm sending you is a bit off-topic but I think you will enjoy this immensely. Let me introduce you to Ladislaw Starewicz (1892-1965) a stop-motion animator who used insects and other animals in his silent films. You can view The Cameraman's Revenge (13 minutes long) on YOUTUBE (see website below). Pretty astonishing considering it was made 104 years ago in 1912!! Using GOOGLE, you can find a lot of other short films by Mr. Starewicz.

Be a lamp, or a lifeboat, or a ladder. Help someone's
soul to heal. Walk out of your house like a shepherd.
----Rumi

Why, who makes much of a miracle?
As to me I know of nothing else but miracles,...
Every cubic inch of space is a miracle,
Every square yard of the surface of the earth is
spread with the same,
Every foot of the interior swarms with the same.
----Walt Whitman, Leaves of Grass (1855)
