THANK YOU, Linda and
OC! and many thanks to everyone
who contributed to this and all other Journals! We can't do
this without GREAT content from our members.
Speaking of which:
We
are in need of articles for future
Journals! PLEASE put on your thinking cap and consider
making a contribution. We are a peer-reviewed publication, so those of you who need to publish for
your careers, this is the
perfect venue; it's great for your resumé, and
great for the GNSI. If you are giving a talk, or have come
up with a unique way to teach sci art, if you've found an
interesting medium or combination of
media to work in, let us know!
As always, you don't need to be an accomplished writer, we'll work with
you to put the polish and shine on your idea. Articles of any reasonable length are
welcome.
Don't
be shy!
Also, if you have an idea for a good Journal article that you would like to see us develop (question about a process or technique - digital or traditional, using a particular medium, where to find resources, the business of art, etc) let us know as well. We might be able to seek out someone to write it up. For example, we'll be covering several of the latest listserv discussions and using friskets in upcoming issues.
Information about upcoming shows, workshops, or awards and publications will be published on the GNSI website; send that material to Diana Marques. Articles and how to's for the Journal can be sent to me, Clara, or Britt. If in doubt, send it on anyway and we will redirect to the proper recipient!
Start thinking about your exhibit entry and auction donation, details will be out soon: we will be publishing an all-conference bulletin shortly after the New Year.
-Gail
[p.s. If
you are
trying to remember
in which issue a
particular
article can be
found, I
have an index
covering
the last several
years, from
2012 on]
