TA Positions in Musicology at the Frost School of Music

The Frost School of Music at the University of Miami is pleased to announce open positions for Teaching Assistants in the Master of Music program in Musicology, beginning fall 2019.

Successful applicants are eligible to receive tuition remission and an annual stipend while acquiring valuable experience as researchers, guest lecturers, and graders. Graduate students work closely with the Frost School’s renowned faculty of musicologists and ethnomusicologists. Reflecting Miami’s geographical location and cultural identities, the department’s strengths include music of the Americas, the interplay of local and global musical sounds and repertories, and interdisciplinary approaches to musicological research.

The Frost School’s MM in Musicology is geared for students who possess a deep interest in music making, history, and culture and who seek to develop their knowledge of the literature and professional norms of the fields of musicology and ethnomusicology. Many of our graduates have succeed in the country’s top doctoral programs. Others carry the skills and insights they received through the program to professional roles in music education, performance, conducting, production, and other areas in and beyond the arts.

Applications are due to the Frost School by December 1, 2018. For more information, clink on these links for the Department of Musicology, the Frost School, and the Frost School Admissions Page.
