Yes, Google sites is a great tool. Perhaps we should put together a list of resources and folks willing to help groups utilize them?

Now that's an exciting idea!  One of the things I suspect organizers like about Facebook for event pages is that you can allow people to add things directly rather than needing to go through a webminister every time there's a change.  Event pages on the wiki would keep that ability!  I'm suggesting that to our Cattle Raids steward.
