Yes, this is a legitimate email and yes, we are asking you to update your information. 

ASCRL website has been redesigned and updated. We are asking all members to change their password and check to make sure all member information is current.

I got an email from ASCRL about a new website that won't have my old password. I'm suspicious of anything asking to update my bank information... Can anyone verify that this is legitimate?

Second... Watch out there is a cashier's check scam that is targeting artists. They say they need work for a workshop called Pandemic: Precaution and Prevention. I wanted to include a screenshot but the list serve doesn't allow pictures, but a short google search will bring you information from plenty of artists that have been targeted.

I'm mad they are trying to trick me but also insulted they only offered $400 dollars per work. 😠
