Hi Christina- I heartily recommend the Super CoolScan LS 1000 - scans at up to 2700 dpi, and is fast (about 30 seconds - certainly fast enough for ME!). > Last question: I need to purchase a good, crisp 20" (or so) monitor to go > with the Windows machine (but could also be paired with the Power Mac > 8100). I use the Sony Multiscan 20seII - I love it, but even with the flexibility of having different screen resolutions and frequencies available, I'm finding that I'm limited to just a couple of the many choices - at least until I remove the monitor from the same room as a lot of musical equipment (that includes powerful speaker cabinets, etc.)
