Epson is a great printer too. Bad News is PowerRip is the buggiest and most crazy-making software I've ever dealt with. I've spent hours on the phone talking to the techies; more than any other item I have. I suspect most postscript software will have the same drawbacks. Postscript should be properly hard-wired into the printer on a circuit board. The software versions will always be buggy, eat up processor time, and conflict with other software. I'd never waste my time, money, or brain waves on it. I have heard that Epson came out with a hard-wired Postscript printer and that is what I would go for. I can ask a designer friend who just got one. by the way, Graham, any tips you have on PowerRip?
