In a large office setting like Goddard, The PC are more expensive to maintain. The users of Macs often take care of their own needs, and in general may be more knowledgeable about their machines (scientist, graphics, etc.). Not that there aren't many of these same types of people with PCs. But the vast masses of office workers get PCs. More resources per PC are devoted to Windoze machines here.
