Before they get too attached to their names, it's a good idea to at least do a bit of research to check that they are registerable... Remind me sometime to tell you the story of MY name, back-documentation isn't fun... (Definitely a "do as I say, not as I do" situation)...If you want me to do a quick-overview research on the kids names, let me know. :)~Shandra (or as registered: Alexandra)--------- Original Message ---------Subject: Re: [MAGMOR] Another basic name question....

Thanks, everyone. I was unsure if the names had to be registered and official before we can use them. It's nice to know that they don't. My question about the kids' names came up because all thee kids have chosen names they like, but I didn't really want to take the time, research and money to register those names if I didn't have to because, let's face it, kids change their minds a lot.Anyway... thank you everyone who answered.Lasairiona

When it comes to kids my advice has always been if they want to find a name encourage it, if they have a device they like let them use it (this will of course change over time, how many times will depend on the age and personality of the child). When you feel they have reached the necessary maturity level if they want to register it then ok (for some this is before they are 18 but of course I have met some who are 25 who are not there yet :) so it ends up being a case by case personal decision). Congrats on finding a name you like.
