Mauricio Alvarez Abel will be participating in the X Latin
American Congress of Private and Peoples Innovation for
Biodiversity Conservation in Valdivia, Los Rios Region, Chile,
from August 19 to 23, 2013.

Digital Illustration Workshop
August 2 and 3rd , 2013 the GNSI Oregon Group hosted a computer
workshop geared toward Scientific Illustrators as part of our
ongoing Ocean Art Challenge.

traditional methods is through sourcebooks. For the science
Illustration community, this often means September is a big month
when the fruits of your labor are put on display in the latest
editions of the Science-Art and Medical Illustration Source

This exhibition will highlight the life and accomplishments of
Scottish botanist and explorer David Douglas and his contemporary
legacy of plant collecting, documentation and illustration in the
Pacific Northwest.

FEE: $65 per day, or $120 for two days, and $175
for three days.
Learn the fundamentals of botanical painting in water-color,
including an introduction to necessary supplies, drawing and
painting techniques, composition, choosing and mixing colors,
creating colors, and more.

achieve your goal. In this fun four-day workshop, return to the
drawing basics of Line, Shading, Perspective, and Composition to
bolster your drawing skills and boost your confidence.
