Do you have vector artwork in your InDesign document (either Illustrator .ai native files or .eps files)? I know it sounds crazy, but vector artwork files can become weird/corrupted/twitchy. I've had it happen occasionally that similar things happen. Once I re-save the Illustrator files and then re-import them, everything is then fine.Good luck from me too,DebOn Oct 1, 2013, at 2:31 PM, Linda Feltner wrote:Yeah, but this sounds like software not hardware....When you google, try typing in first "InDesignCS5:xxx xxxxx xxxxx" In other words, try "Adobe InDesign+version+colon+your question" or just "InDesign+version+colon+your question"., then try various versions of ": text crash" or ": crash while typing" . I had an Adobe tech tell me that's the fastest way to narrow down the search, and often takes you directly to the forums with similar questions.Good luck,Linda_____________________Linda M. Then I'd only open the software that I absolutely need.Does it crash if you type in your text in another document, like TextEdit, and cut/paste it in? (tedious, I know), but those would be what I'd try first.could be a conflict, or overload. How much space do you have on your computer for operating? Pleanty of buffer?Just my thoughts,Linda_____________________Linda M. Feltner Artist, LLC
