Master Rhodri posted a blog on Facebook as the fights were happening. He did that because he was requested to, specifically, on multiple occasions. He may not have done it if he hadn't been asked, specifically, to do it.
Maybe, instead of saying "somebody should just do it" to make "me" happy, people should ask "who is going" and then ask someone specifically if they didn't mind posting the data? Or maybe, if people want to, they can
volunteer. I know I don't go to every single event, so it would be hard for someone to volunteer for every one, but if different people are interested in doing that, by all means, go for it.
I've noticed a lot of people who are anti-Facebook aren't exactly volunteering to go out there and do these types of updates here themselves. I'd highly suggest that you volunteer to do this, to make others like you happy, because that makes more sense then just complaining about Facebook people having the data.
Sorry if this offends anyone, it's not intended to be mean, but it does get very, very old hearing people complain about Facebook. You have every right not to join Facebook, not to like Facebook, to have whatever disagreements with Facebook that you like, but please realize that not everyone shares those views and just because we find out stuff on Facebook from non-official sources, doesn't mean we should have to run here and share it just because you don't want to go to where the information is being shared. If it were official sources only posting there and not here, I'd think you had a very valid argument, but the vast majority of what we hear on Facebook is not
But with that said, now that I think about it, there has been some official sources that I have seen posting that I realize I might not have seen things here as fast. I will go right now and make a request of that source to see if they would mind posting the same information here as they do on Facebook (or have a designated representative who could do it for them). This is only one, but hopefully it will help (and eventually the information made it here, but I do not want there to be a delay of much if it can be helped).

Yes, but two days after it was posted to Facebook, and only because people specifically asked. I think what Melisende is suggesting is that someone volunteer to post that sort of info as soon as it is posted to Facebook, without being asked.
