When I lived in Texas, I once captured a gecko in a roach motel – one of those rectangular boxes with some bait and sticky stuff (similar to the sticky strip someone else suggested). This was completely by accident. I had the motels to catch roaches and
the gecko must have gone in after them. I suppose you'd have to bait the motel with some meal worms or crickets or something.
I have a friend who has a native gecko jump out of a rug, going to the dump, and now it's in her car. How can she capture it unharmed?
Once we had a neighbor who trapped a baby gopher snake on one of those sticky strips he had put down for mice. Ben went over when he called, and they released it by using PAM cooking spray.
Any other solutions?
