I wear out my Series 7 brushes in about a year… but I'm talking 2/0 and 3/0 that I use for dry brushing. My larger brushes (1 and 2) do last longer.

I tried some synthetics but never really got used to the feel. This Rosemary and Co W/C sable #7 felt right away like a beloved old friend. : ) I ordered a couple of smaller brushes too. Nice points, good spring, good 'belly'. (feeling as if I'm talking 'brush yoga' here, LOL!)
