The current New York Review of Books ((Feb 20th) has an interesting essay  by Susan Dunn on Doris Kearns Goodwin’s ‘The Bully Pulpit: Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, and the Golden Age of Journalism.’ Review mentions Cather, and has extended account of significance of McClure’s. Important section on how McClure’s was important in prompting TR’s regulation of the railroads.
