Yes, I like the dirty-dulling outside treatment also. It simply gives them a different reflection that they respond to. Or decals, those can disrupt the image, also.

I agree with Patricia about the idea of dulling the outside surface of your window ... we have put screens up on most windows (slowly doing this for summertime air) and where screens are in place, no bird accidents. A soaring hawk silhouette and some of those colorful gel shapes on the screen-less windows have helped.
